Ambassadors

Design System Ambassadors are essential contributors to our system. Our ambassadors come from each design team and act as a primary point of contact on all Design System related matters.

Key Responsibilities

As a DS Ambassador, there are five key responsibilities that make this program effective for both the Design System team and our users:

  • Acting as a liaison between the design teams and the Design Systems team.
  • Consolidating and communicating updates on DS initiatives, ensuring their team is informed and aligned with our system’s evolution.
  • Providing feedback from their teams to help shape the direction and priorities of the Design Systems team.
  • Fostering a culture of system thinking across channels, challenging and contributing to conversations around design systems within their teams.
  • Supporting the DS contribution model, following guidelines and best practices for creating, documenting, and curating patterns reusable components for the DS.

Ambassador Monthly Working Sessions

Each month, we bring the Ambassadors together to discuss a range of agenda topics including:

  • Team updates: what’s upcoming for your team this PI (quarterly)
  • Discuss use cases for upcoming design system component uplifts
  • Design thinking workshops
  • Team Share-outs
  • Show & tell design feedback
  • Component workshops
  • Design system feedback (v6 and v7 Figma kits)
  • Review design system contributions
